CTC Aviation Training (NZ) Limited

CTC Aviation’s NZ operation has been in Hamilton since 2005 and we train approximately 200 cadets per year from all around the world. Cadets do their basic training here and leave with their PPL, MEIR, CPL and ATPL theory papers. The advanced training for one of the courses takes places over in the UK and this takes cadets up to their Airbus A320 type rating.

 

CTC Aviation’s modern training centre is purpose built and fully equipped to train the modern airline pilot. All training reflects an airline operation, from wearing a uniform to following airlne type procedures for aircraft operation and planning. The professional and personal development of the trainee pilot is an integral part of this course. Trainee welfare and safety is a high priority at CTC Aviation.

 

Located at the Hamilton Airport, CTC Aviation has a very modern fleet  of 38 aircraft including 14 single engine Diamond DA20 Katana, 16 Cessna 172 aircraft, and 8 multi-engine Diamond DA42 Twinstar aircraft as well as 3 simulator devices.

 

All of our Cessna 172 and DA42 Twinstar aircraft are equipped with the Garmin 1000 glass cockpit similar to the modern Boeing and Airbus jets.

 

Our courses take between 16-19 months to complete depending on the course you choose to take. Theory training is delivered by specialist ground theory instructors and block courses for all subjects are interspersed with the flight training in a logical and progressive training plan. A comprehensive flying syllabus is managed by an expert Operations Team that ensures flights are scheduled to meet the trainees training requirement - every day. On time performance by instructors and trainees alike is no different to that of an airlne Captain and crew.
